This video is a conversation I wish someone had with me when I was breaking down.

It’s so easy when you’re sick, burnt out, or traumatized… to also start carrying the weight of the whole world.

You’re lying in bed already overwhelmed — then you start worrying about the government, climate collapse, war, AI, child abuse, animal cruelty, housing, the economy…

It crushes you. And I know that feeling.

But I’m here to tell you this:
You are not a bad person for turning it all off.

You’re allowed to get well first.
You’re allowed to heal in peace.
You’re allowed to stop reading the news, stop scrolling, stop trying to fix the world when you’re still bleeding.

This module is about dropping that load. Not forever. Just long enough to save your own life first.

Key Points I Talk About:

  • Why people with chronic illness often feel the weight of the whole world
  • The illusion that “being informed” = being empowered
  • How doomscrolling, hyper-awareness, and global trauma keep your nervous system stuck in fear
  • How I gave myself permission to stop trying to save the world while I was still trying to survive

Journal Prompts:

  • What global issues or fears am I carrying that I can’t control?
  • How does engaging with them daily affect my health, stress levels, and emotional state?
  • What would it mean to protect my peace first, then return stronger and more grounded?

Reminder from Me:

There’s a version of you that can change lives, fight injustice, and speak truth.
But that version of you needs to be well.

You’re not selfish for stepping back.
You’re wise.

This is not denial. This is strategy.
You can’t pour from an empty cup.
