Why Chasing Worms Won’t Heal You

If you’ve spent time in chronic illness circles online, you’ve probably come across the parasite panic. According to some voices, every issue—from headaches to joint pain to fatigue—is due to parasites. The solution? Expensive herbal protocols, miracle detoxes, and endless testing.

And like many of you, I fell into that mindset.

The Wormhole of False Promises

In the early stages of my illness, I tried it all: black walnut, clove, amazing liver flushes, Dr. Hulda Clark protocols. I did multiple herbal cleanses. I even fasted for seven days—poorly, I might add, while still scrolling on tech just to pass the time.

None of it helped. Not in a lasting or meaningful way.

What it did do was make me even more anxious. I had been bitten by a tick, and anytime I experienced pain, I visualized parasites corkscrewing through my body. It terrified me. I started obsessing over tests, specialists charging £350 an hour, and the latest must-have herbal blends.

And I stayed sick.

The Turning Point

One day, I stumbled across a man who had battled Lyme disease for years. He’d done the protocols. The antibiotics. The biofilm destroyers. And still, he was unwell—until he changed his lifestyle. For him, that meant raw vegan. For me, it meant stepping back from the research rabbit hole and getting back to basics.

I shut my laptop. I turned inward. And I committed to six months of real change:

  • Deep sleep.
  • Better food.
  • Healthier thoughts.
  • Emotional work using E.A.P. and the tools in this course.

The Real Parasite? Chronic Stress

Here’s the truth: Most people chasing parasite cleanses haven’t built the foundation.

They’re:

  • Staying up late researching.
  • Living in fear.
  • Ignoring sleep, diet, and emotional state.
  • Desperate for a shortcut.

But when you’re in a chronic stress state, your body is not in healing mode. You’re giving it the worst possible foundation to recover—regardless of what’s lurking in your gut.

I’ve now come to believe most “parasite flare-ups” are better explained by nervous system overload, emotional stress, and physiological breakdown. Not worms.

Six Months of Basics

When I stuck to the basics consistently—good food, sleep, journaling, and emotional regulation—everything began to change. My pain eased. My energy returned. I didn’t need a specialist. I didn’t need a test.

And if, after six months of genuine effort, I’d still been unwell? Sure, I’d consider further testing. But by then, the issue was resolving.

A Different Perspective

If parasites are real in your case—and they very well might be—they are often opportunistic, not the root cause. Meaning they show up because your body was already weakened. The tick bite, the booster shot, the stress—it all piles up. Eventually, something breaks.

But let’s stop handing over thousands of pounds to people who sell fear.

Let’s stop trusting the influencer with a miracle cleanse over our own body’s intelligence.

Final Reminders

  • Healing is not linear. You will have setbacks.
  • If you follow everything in this course—sleep, nutrition, mindset, nervous system work—and still feel terrible after six months, then explore further.
  • You are not broken. You are burdened. There’s a difference.
  • People who don’t have time to hear this message often stay sick for years. Be patient. Build your foundation.

And remember this: My dog had hundreds of tick bites and was always ready to sprint at the word “walkies.” Meanwhile, I was curled up in bed, aching, researching myself into paralysis. That contrast told me everything.

Sometimes, it’s not the parasite. It’s the chronic stress that makes you the perfect host.
